Dubai Loop: Elon Musk’s High-Speed Transport Network to Ease City Congestion

Dubai is set to welcome a groundbreaking transportation solution with the signing of a preliminary agreement between Elon Musk’s The Boring Company and the city’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA). The Dubai Loop, a 17-kilometer (10.6-mile) underground high-speed transport network, aims to tackle traffic congestion in the emirate’s busiest areas.

The project’s initial phase will feature 11 stations, with trains capable of reaching speeds up to 160 kilometers per hour. The system is expected to transport over 20,000 passengers per hour initially, with future expansions increasing capacity to more than 100,000 passengers per hour.

Announced during the World Governments Summit by UAE’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Omar Al Olama, the Dubai Loop represents a significant step toward sustainable urban mobility. The Boring Company’s innovative approach could transform how residents and visitors navigate the city.
